Hi,
You don’t hear me talk about my brothers that much,
but this time I want to make an exception.

Why?
Well…my oldest brother (Dusty) just got honored with Secretary of Defense Medal for the
Defense of Freedom. This medal is the highest award a civilian working for the Department
of Defense can receive and is equivalent to a purple heart.
Check it out…

I know…I know…what you’re thinking.
Although he is my blood brother, he doesn’t look
ANYTHING like me, right? He is about 6Ft 5 and
about 240 lbs. He actually won a tough man contest
back in the day too. That’s not an easy thing to do.
Here is what was said about the honor.
LOGCAP III Leadership Letter BY GUY LABOA LOGCAP
III Principal Program Manager
It is an honor to present this Special Edition of the KBR
LOGCAP III Weekly Delivery Newsletter featuring nineteen
KBR recipients of the Secretary of Defense Medal for the
Defense of Freedom. This medal is the highest award a
civilian working for the Department of Defense can receive
and is the equivalent to the Military’s Purple Heart.
This past Sunday, July 12, 2009, the recipients were honored
at a Defense of Freedom Medal ceremony hosted by Brigadier
General Kurt Stein, MNF-I. The ceremony was held in the rotunda
of the Al Faw Palace on Victory Base, Baghdad, Iraq. KBR
Interim President, Government and Infrastructure, Bill Bodie
and Senior Vice President of Operations, Maintenance and
Logistics, Rick Hack, made a special trip into Theater from
Arlington, Virginia in order to participate.
Every one of these nineteen employees in the following pages,
whom we honored, were injured by hostile action while working
in support of our troops. They then made the choice to remain
with, or return to, the Project in spite of these experiences.
They are from all walks of life and perform all types of jobs, but two
things remain the same – they are all heroes and all deserve our
thanks.
So, would you mind doing me a favor?
Will you do one of two things for me?
1. Just write something cool in this post to encourage
him. After-all he had a freakin rocket explode right next
him, killed his roomate and blew a hole in his (Dusty’s) leg
the size of a half-dollar.
2. Or… Go to my Facebook and encourage him here .
The way I figure it is like this.
I have been emailing ShortSaleology supporters:
- for nearly two years.
– They buy the training tools that I suggest (*SMART*).
– They DO NOT buy the ones that I don’t suggest. (EVEN SMARTER)
– They respond when I ask you too.(VERY COOL)
– Many have requested to be my Friend on Facebook and Twitter.
– They pray for me as I do them you they ask me too.
– They send me cool gifts. Yes, I just received a guitar in
the mail from one of my rapid fans…can you believe
that??? That is SO FLIPPING COOL.
– They send me food, money, t-shirts, ink pens, personal words of encouragement.
– They send me Videos along with pictures and their stories of successes
mastering the art of doing short sales.
And tons more.
So I figure this…
Whom better to ask than SHORTSALEOLOGY SUPPORTERS
to encourage my own brother?
I might be getting a bit personal, but I’m willing to risk that
because I believe my ShortSaleology supporters are worth
it and I’m not ABOUT to give up on any of them.
