I just caught a great webinar last night
hosted by some of the best publicists in
the business. I picked up some great tips
and I couldn’t wait to share them with you.
I can’t give everything away in this short

You’ve got to know how to sell your business.
And to do that, you need to learn how to
take advantage of the seasons. Every time
of year brings out different feelings in
people and you need to learn how to
capitalize on that to bring in major bucks.
So here in brief is what to watch out for
during each quarter of the year. If you gear
your publicity towards these things you’ll
definitely catch people’s eyes.

1st Quarter – Everyone is focused on
"looking ahead." What will the new year bring.
Try to make some marketplace predictions.
Feel free to say something controversial about
your industry. Also encourage people to keep
their new year’s resolutions.
2nd Quarter – Let your marketing focus on
more general stories that will appeal to wide
audiences. Focus on "Spring fever" and how
people can have fun with your services.
3rd Quarter – Tie your advertising into
summer movies, entertainment, and focus on
celebrities. Also towards the end of the
summer run a "Back to School" special.
4th Quarter – This is when business turns
serious. You’ve got get people geared up for
the holidays. It’s also a good time to get
people thinking about their finances and
how much money they can save with you.
