Pick a Turkey
I need some help. I know, I know,
Cory needs help?? Impossible! Well,
it’s not, I’m sorry to say. There
are a lot of things I know really
well and there are some things I
know just nothing about. And this
is one of them. So again, I need
some help.
How do you pick out the right
turkey?
I don’t mean, how do you go to
the grocery store and pick out
the prepackaged, cleaned, and
ready to go store-bought turkey.
I mean, when you’re at the turkey
farm in Stilwell and you need to
size up a turkey for the holiday,
what do you look for?
I mean, I love turkey with the
gravy, stuffing, pumpkin pie and
the works. But this year I aim to
do things right. And you’ve
got to start with the right bird.
So I’m sure the folks at the farm
will be real helpful. But I can’t
walk in there with this confused
look on my face like I don’t belong.
I need to go in knowing exactly
what makes a good turkey stand out
from the pack.
Any suggestions? I know I can
always count on my readers to
comment on my blog with lots
of helpful pointers. So leave a
comment and help make
this Thanksgiving the best ever.
