First Resolution: Look Around
I’ve gotten some great feedback so far in my goal to get the short sale community mobilized. People starting to talk. People are starting to realize that they need clear goals going into 2011. Goals that tell them exactly what they need to do to make short sales the great tool it can be to pull our slumping economy back up. If you’re reading this, you’re probably here because you know deep down that government programs and greedy banks can’t really get the job done. But if you feel that you don’t know where to start, then realize you’re part of an entire network of short sale promoters all working towards the same goal. You’re not alone.
But you’ve got to have your own mission clear and I want to help you figure out where to start.
The first step is to recognize a need. Look around your neighborhood. Do you see bank owned properties, repossessions, even For Sale signs? Then you can see the need staring you in the face. People are struggling to make their payments. They’ve been laid off and are coming on hard times. So trust me when I tell you that even if they don’t know it yet, you can provide them with answers.
So your first resolution in the year of the Short Sale is to get out of your house and look around you. Find the thousands of opportunities that surround you and see how critical your own goals can be to those around you. I want to see you commenting on this post and telling me what you find in your own backyard. The answers might shock you!
