Obamacare Enrollment Growing 26

The Obamacare rollout is a really hot topic so I think it’s safe to veer away from real estate for the moment to talk about it. It’s been a charged issue and there are a lot of strong opinions on both sides.

Most states are making progress in opening up the program and enrollment seems to be high among certain groups. Among others (aka the Indestructible Generation) not so much.

Plus many lawmakers are still claiming the program is unsustainable. They’ve got some interesting evidence on their side and the Obama administration is fighting tooth and nail to prove it’ll work.

I don’t know if a lot of people signing up for the program really proves anything about its viability. It might just crash and take tons of people with it. And maybe if less people signed up less people would go down with the ship. Or maybe it fails because less people sign up for it.

Basically it’s a big guessing game and I’m happy to open up the discussion to you guys. What do you think about it? Have you signed up? Where do you think Obamacare is headed?

I’ve been an insurance agent/broker for 35 years. I’ve never seen so many people deciding to be uninsured as during this enrollment period. We will have spiralling rates as adverse selection takes affect and the administration will want to “save us” from the “evil insurance companies” they are destroying with a one size fits all single payor plan.
