Prayer Request Update

Here is a quick update on some prayer requests.
Side Note: Yes I know this is a real estate short sale forum. I own it and I can post what I please.

Thank you for all the gifts, phone calls, emails and continued prayer support. It is awesome to know you care so much.

Elaine Boatright (mom):
The acute pancreatitis was caused by the back up from a stone lodged in the bile duct. Her surgery was a success and the doctors removed her gall bladder along with all the stones without any complications. She is a little sore, but I was able to take her home yesterday. She is enjoying FOOD for the first time in days. Her sister came down from Amarillo to watch over her for a week while she heals. Praise God for a speedy recovery!

Dusty Boatright (brother)
Recap:
OK… so Dusty is my oldest brother. He is in Iraq right now. He works for KBR (Contracting Agency) and he is based in Civilian Camp called Rustamiyah. Feel free to Google it to read more. Tuesday his camp was attacked by Shiite extremists. Dusty just made it into a bunker when a rocket (oxygen tank filled with ball bearing) exploded right next to him. His roommate (the “American Civilian” in the write up below) died by decapitation and literally fell on Dusty. Dusty was injured with ball bearing shooting all through his leg and knee, plus his leg was on fire.

The FIRST surgery you were praying about was to confirm he would not have his leg amputated. Praise God for that! However, I spoke to Dusty’s wife today and she said he will undergo more treatment, possibly other surgeries. Apparently the injury was worse than originally thought. They are flying him to Kuwait for doctors to look at him and then Germany this week.

If all goes well, he will be flown home 1ST Class next week and picked up at the airport in a limo. The doctors told Dusty to prepare for physical therapy.

Rear Adm. Gregory Smith, a U.S. military spokesman, blamed Iranian-backed Shiite extremists for a flurry of rocket attacks. He said that an American civilian had been killed and a number of U.S. troops and civilians wounded in a rocket attack in the southeastern area of Rustamiyah Tuesday night. He did not elaborate, but there is a U.S. base in the predominantly Shiite area.

I hate to be too graphic, but everyone is asking me what EXACTLY happened so I hope this describes it.
